Mindfulness

The regular practice of meditation has proven to be an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety, to focus the mind and increase attention span, and to strengthen the self-awareness and self-compassion. For these reasons, meditation has become an important tool to increase general well-being.

 

Therefore, TINT and other organisations at the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e) have been providing initiatives where students and staff can experiment with meditation, deepen their knowledge and create a new healthy habit. 


Mindfulness Breaks by TINT & Enter the Now

Every Tuesday, TINT & Enter the Now organise a guided mediation during the lunch break for students & staff at TU/e Campus. 

 

During the Corona Quarantine, the Mindfulness Breaks are being held online. 

Join us Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 12:40 - 13:20 via Microsoft Teams.

Enter The Now

 

Enter the Now is a community for raising your consciousness, happiness and awareness. As the name suggests: it is all about living in the present moment, the Now.

 

Mindfulness and meditation are practices in which we dive deeply into what drives us and makes us human. They make us take a good look at ourselves: our thoughts and emotions, our fears and our love.

 

Since April 2019, Enter the Now and TINT have joined forces to bring mindfulness to students and employees of the TU/e on a regular basis. We help you to deal with the stress and the pressure that is sometimes involved with living on campus, and give insight to bring peace and happiness in your daily activities. 

 

Student Sports Centre

 

Mindfulness is a meditation- and skills training. You learn to focus your attention on the ‘present’, without any judgment, without any specific goal, without desiring any change in the present.

 

By learning to focus your attention on the ‘here and now’, you can experience the many advantages of mindfulness. For instance you will notice that after a while your concentration will improve, you are less likely to get carried away by negative thoughts and you are more conscious of the beautiful aspects of life.

 

This course will be provided in English and Dutch.
