The regular practice of meditation has proven to be an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety, to focus the mind and increase attention span, and to strengthen the self-awareness and self-compassion. For these reasons, meditation has become an important tool to increase general well-being.

Therefore, TINT and other organisations at the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e) have been providing initiatives where students and staff can experiment with meditation, deepen their knowledge and create a new healthy habit. Mindfulness Breaks by TINT & Enter the Now

TINT and Enter the Now are hosting weekly guided meditations so you can start, explore or deepen your mindfulness skills within a lively community.
On Tuesdays, join us for a meditation session during lunchtime (12:40-13:20) to inspire you for a productive study time and a life focused on the present moment.
Meditation is a way of becoming aware of what’s alive inside of yourself. By meditating regularly, you will develop a stronger connection with yourself, others, and life. This connection can help you with finding more calmness in your days, increasing focus on what you’re doing, coping with stress, and building resilience.
Both advanced meditation practitioners and beginners are welcome!
The meditation is guided by TINT or Enter the Now and will take about 15-20 minutes. Afterward, there is plenty of time to share and connect within the group.

Morning Flow & Focus: Mindfulness for beginners

For most of us, the ongoing world-wide pandemic has added an increasing amount of stress to our daily lives. Mindfulness can help in coping with stress and building resilience. Have you always been curious about what mindfulness can do for you? Even if you haven't, give it a try for a couple of weeks! Do you struggle to stay motivated during this #stayhome period? Start your day with us, and we can support you to reduce your stress and increase your focus and motivation.

Together, PROOF, Enter the Now, and TINT have developed a mindfulness program for everyone. Though the sessions are meant as an introduction to mindfulness for beginners, anyone at TU/e is welcome to join. The program will help you start your day more grounded and focused.

  • 30 minutes (8:45-9:15)
  • a relaxed start
  • mindfulness meditation exercise of about 10 minutes
  • room for sharing tips, tricks, and experiences

Are you curious about mindfulness, but committing to it on your own is a challenge?
Gather a group together and contact us for the weekly Morning Flow & Focus: mindfulness for beginners sessions in the morning.

Enter The Now

Enter the Now is a community for raising your consciousness, happiness and awareness. As the name suggests: it is all about living in the present moment, the Now.

Mindfulness and meditation are practices in which we dive deeply into what drives us and makes us human. They make us take a good look at ourselves: our thoughts and emotions, our fears and our love.

Since April 2019, Enter the Now and TINT have joined forces to bring mindfulness to students and employees of the TU/e on a regular basis. We help you to deal with the stress and the pressure that is sometimes involved with living on campus, and give insight to bring peace and happiness in your daily activities.

Student Sports Centre

Mindfulness is a meditation- and skills training. You learn to focus your attention on the ‘present’, without any judgment, without any specific goal, without desiring any change in the present.

By learning to focus your attention on the ‘here and now’, you can experience the many advantages of mindfulness. For instance you will notice that after a while your concentration will improve, you are less likely to get carried away by negative thoughts and you are more conscious of the beautiful aspects of life.

This course will be provided in English and Dutch.

Price: 90 euro

Number of lessons: 8
